Anish Poosa

Hi, I’m Anish Poosa, founder of AlzSeniorSupport.org. This nonprofit was born from my own journey. Several of my grandparents on my mother’s side were diagnosed with Alzheimer’s or dementia in their 50s and 60s. I witnessed their decline and the toll it took on my family. I was a caregiver, and I know how difficult and isolating it can be.

These experiences inspired me to take action.

Why I Started AlzSeniorSupport.org
I created this platform to offer emotional, educational, and financial support to other families like mine. 100% of the donations go directly to seniors and their caregivers.

My Experience & Research
I’m currently in 11th grade and an active member of the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America Teen Chapter. I’ve also led a successful GoFundMe for the Dementia Alliance of North Carolina.

Research Highlight

Title:

Evaluating the Role of Neuroinflammation Caused by Microglia and Astrocytes in Alzheimer’s Disease

Anish’s current research explores how chronic inflammation in the brain, particularly from immune cells like microglia and astrocytes, contributes to the progression of Alzheimer’s disease.

In the future, I aim to become a Medical Scientist dedicated to solving neurodegenerative diseases.

Our Promise

Transparency and impact are at the core of what we do. Every dollar supports seniors through care, programs, or direct aid. Thank you for believing in our mission.
